While we were in Puerto rico we had to do 12 hours of service learning. On monday we completed six of those twelve hours. it was very humid and we worked pretty much throughout the whole day. Around the camp their were many things that needed to be done. things such as painting, trimming of leaves and vines and plants. power washing and other things. The people at the camp seemed to greatly appreciate our help around the camp since they dont get it too often and trying to maintain it by themselves is very difficult.

I agree with you Brenda, I enjoyed my service learning experience in Puerto Rico too,it gave me chance to service others. When I was service others I had this humbling experience, it showed that I was thinking of others and not myself. My servicing learning was painting the benches, the posts, and trimming bushes. It was a pleasure to help them, the service learning breaks the ice when you trying to meet a new culture.
